The training offered more advanced techniques for staff already sensitized to gender, including budgeting, strategy design, and target setting. The sessions were designed to meet exact specifications and needs of Middle East government officials in middle and senior management positions.
The course was custom designed for the Ministry. The workshop was commissioned by a UN agency.
The training was delivered at the Football for Hope Forum leading up to the World Cup in 2010. Participants learned new skills and tools to plan and execute strategies for their organizations’ growth and development.
Training included negotiation, aid alignment, harmonization and financing at the country level with particular emphasis on new aid architectures and development infrastructure. Trainings included senior representatives of approximately 30 countries in Africa. Trainings were conducted in both French and English, depending upon location.
